1. Sounding the Seventh Trumpet

Sounding the Seventh Trumpet merupakan album penuh pertama band metalcore Amerika, Avenged Sevenfold. Rilisan awal album ini adalah di tahun 2001 oleh Good Life Recordings, namun pada 19 Maret 2002 Hopeless Records merilisnya kembali dengan sedikit perbedaan pada kover album plus satu lagu bonus track yakni, "To End the Rapture (Heavy Metal Version)" yang juga diisi oleh pertama kalinya oleh gitaris baru mereka, Synyster Gates. Singlenya yang terkenal adalah Warmness on The Soul.

2.  Waking The Fallen

Waking the Fallen adalah album kedua oleh Avenged Sevenfold, yang dirilis pada tanggal 26 Agustus 2003 melalui Hopeless Records. Ini adalah rilis terakhir oleh band metalcore untuk fitur suara mereka, walaupun vokal lebih bersih yang ditampilkan pada album dari album debut mereka, Sounding The Seventh Trumpet. Ini adalah album pertama Avenged Sevenfold menampilkan bassist Johnny Christ serta pertama yang memiliki fitur lengkap saat ini line-up (sampai kematian The Rev's), setelah keberangkatan Dameon Ash. Album ini meraih emas pada tanggal 15 Juli 2009. Singlenya yang terkenal antara lain Unholy Confessions dan Second Heartbeat.

3. City of Evil

City of Evil merupakan album penuh ketiga Avenged Sevenfold yang kali ini dirilis tanggal 7 Juni,2005 sekaligus menjadi debut mereka bersama major label Warner Brothers. Musik yang ditawarkan di album ini sangat berbeda bila dibandingkan dengan rilisan mereka di tahun 2003 yang masih memainkan metalcore dimana di album ini karakter vokal M. Shadows tidak lagi memiliki guratan scream. Sedangkan bagian gitar terdengar lebih bertechnical dalam experimen metal yang mereka usung. Karakter musik yang baru ini membuat fans lama mereka mengkritisi Avenged Sevenfold dan mencap band ini mulai masuk ke dunia komersial untuk mendapat pasar musik yang lebih umum. Meski masih rumor, namun kabarnya perubahan musik Avenged Sevenfold ini terkait dengan hilangnya teriakan vokalis M. Shadows. Singlenya yang terkenal antara lain Bat Country, Burn It Down, Beast and The Harlot, dan Seize The Day.

4. Avenged Sevenfold (Self Titled)

Avenged Sevenfold adalah album studio keempat oleh Avenged Sevenfold, dirilis pada tanggal 30 Oktober 2007 melalui Warner Bros Records. Pada awalnya dijadwalkan untuk rilis 16 Oktober, namun ditunda dua minggu untuk memberikan lebih banyak waktu untuk menyelesaikan materi bonus dan produksi untuk catatan, termasuk pembuatan video musik animasi untuk lagu "A Little Piece of Heaven". Album debut di nomor 4 di Billboard 200 [1] Pada tanggal 23 September 2008. Album ini bersertifikat Emas oleh RIAA. Album ini memenangkan penghargaan untuk Best Album Kerrang pada tahun 2008. Singlenya yang terkenal antara lain Dear God, Afterlife, Scream, Almost Easydan Critical Acclaim.

 5. Life in The LBC and Diamond in The Rough

Live in LBC & Diamonds di Rough adalah album live pertama dan paket DVD dirilis pada tanggal 16 September 2008 oleh Avenged Sevenfold dari Warner Bros Records. DVD live diselenggarakan pada tanggal 10 April 2008 yang berada di  Long Beach Arena headlining Taste Rockstar wisata Chaos, Australia.
DVD ini disutradarai oleh Core Entertainment's Rafa Alcantara. Pada tanggal 15 Agustus 2008, trailer dirilis oleh Avenged Sevenfold di saluran YouTube mereka. Pada tanggal 5 September 2008, Avenged Sevenfold merilis versi live dari "Seize The Day" dari DVD melalui account imeem mereka. "Unholy Confessions" dan "Scream" kemudian mengalir sebelum rilis juga. Album ini telah disertifikasi Platinum oleh RIAA. Pada tanggal 5 November 2008, CD / DVD combo bersertifikat Emas, namun kini telah mencapai Platinum dengan menjual lebih dari 100.000 eksemplar. Singlenya yang terkenal adalah Crossroad.

6. Nightmare

Nightmare adalah album studio kelima oleh Avenged Sevenfold. Dirilis pada tanggal 27 Juli 2010 melalui Warner Bros Records, itu diproduksi oleh Mike Elizondo dan dimix di New York City oleh  insinyur Andy Wallace. Album ini adalah album Avenged Sevenfold  pertama tanpa James "The Rev" Sullivan. Namun ia menulis semua trek drum dari lagu-lagu sebelum dan menulis lagu-lagu penuh seperti Fiksi pada album baru sebelum kematiannya karena itu album studio terakhir ini yang memberikan kontribusi. Inilah alasan The Rev masih terdapat pada album sebagai penghargaan kepadanya. Mike Portnoy, mantan Dream Theater, sementara juga akan bermain dengan band ini pada semua tur yang akan datang untuk saat ini. Album ini mendapat debut No 1 di Billboard 200 menjual 163.000 eksemplar, melebihi pendahulunya dalam penjualan minggu pertama. Debut ini berakhir lima pemerintahan minggu Eminem di puncak Billboard 200, dan mendorong Recovery untuk No 2. Ini adalah album pertama oleh Avenged Sevenfold ke puncak Billboard 200 chart. Single terkenalnya adalah Nightmare. Personil Avenged Sevenfold mengatakan :

[...] The new album, Nightmare, is dedicated to The Rev's memory and although it's not exactly a concept album, it does center around The Rev. The eeriest thing about it is there is a song on the album called "Fiction" (a nickname The Rev gave himself) which started out with the title "Death". And it was the last song The Rev wrote for the album, and when he handed it in, he said, 'That's it, that's the last song for this record'. And then, 3 days later, he died.
